Modern resin-based composites offer a functional and esthetic replacement for natural tooth structure. Resin-based composite restorations have many advantages, particularly allowing ultra-conservative preparation design, and the ability to mimic natural tooth esthetics. This combination lecture and hands-on presentation will provide an overview of current materials and techniques that give the most esthetically and functionally pleasing anterior and posterior composite restorations. Each participant will have the opportunity to prepare posterior typodont teeth, place and manipulate resin composite materials with special emphasis on the correct application of bonding agents and different techniques to created strong and predictable composite restorations.
